IGEL membership

 

You are encouraged to consider joining the International Society for the Empirical Study of Literature and Media (IGEL).

The Society plays an important role in fostering interaction in this unique interdisciplinary endeavour, and it cannot exist without the active involvement of our community. Joining is relatively inexpensive:

for a one-year (2014) membership: €70 for regular members and €50 for discount members;

for a two-year (2014 & 2015) membership: €120 for regular members and €90 for discount members.

 

Membership entitles you to:

 

1) receive the Society's journal, The Scientific Study of Literature,

2) participate in the Society's governance and vote in the elections of members of the Governing Board;

 

3) access the “Members Only” page of the IGEL website, which contains the Minutes of previous IGEL conferences, the society's Bylaws, Treasurer's Report, Membership List, and SSOL Procedure Statement;

 

4) the privilege of adding information on your IGEL-related publications on our web-based database: http://www.psych.ualberta.ca/IGEL/bibliography.php

 

5) and, last but not least, the excitement of being part of a cutting-edge organization whose members are helping to redefine the future of literary and cultural studies.

 

IGEL is a growing and vibrant society; attendance at our last two conferences was the highest in IGEL's history, and many new members are joining us all the time, both budding young researchers and established scholars of high repute. We do hope you will join us.
